I found this article for those who refuse to admit that JJ already has the credentials to be classified as "one of the greatest" of all time...
http://www.nascar.com/news/101130/jjohnson-stats-greatest-ever/index.html

IMO it's pretty easy to see when you have an open mind, and look at things objectively...
I have no doubt we are seeing history made...
But in most cases it takes many years for people to realize some things like this.  "Time" has to pass, and then people have to be able to "look back" on things and reflect... I seriously doubt if Earnhardt or Petty would of won 7 titles if they had to compete against this level of competition to get their wins / titles.

Part of it Chris is he os becoming close to the all powerful 7 championships and as you know that ruffles some feathers.  The fact is I don't care for JJ< never have but I honor is ability and he is one of the best already.

Chris I agree with Earnhardt and Petty having much less competition during their Runaway Seasons .  Wink

While i cannot and will not deny that JJ AND JG are both excellent and extremely talented drivers in their own rights it just galls the living heck outta me to see NASCAR blatantly helping them win Championships.

I know no one here is surprised to hear me say that, but I dont know how many know that Im dead serious when i say it. I honestly and truly believe that Brian F and his cronies and Rick  (a.k.a. Mr.)Hendrick are in collusion of sorts.
And  it all stems back to Dale E Sr.'s death.  Like him or not Dale was the face of NASCAR. After his death NASCAR desperatly needed a new face and they picked Jeff Gordon for a bit and now while JG is the elder statesman of sorts JJ is the new big name and seemingly invincible.. Heck, France even had pics of Jeff Gordon and #24 memorabilia all over his office ona TV interview i saw. There was no other drivers pics or memorabilia either.

There have simply been waaaay to many calls go for HMS teams and against others to prevent them from winning or staying in  the chase,etc.. Violations that were deemed "gray areas" for them but major fines and points for others. I heard with my own ears  Mike Helton state empahitcally that there were absolutely NO GRAY AREAS concerning the COT and then within 2 mos we havea gray area on the 48.

Some will say, "Well  Blu they got penalized for this or that too!"Of course there were some things they got them for my Lord they HAD to do some for crying out loud.

THIS more than ANY other thing has made me lose interest and faith in a sport I once loved dearly. Look, I sincerley I respect JJ and his  driving ability, I REALLY do, but I will never respect the help they got to get all those wins and championships.

Those Championships are  tainted IMHO.

Just let em RACE!!
