Yeah nothing is being said about Burton wanting Clint to allow him to get the bonus points and Clint not being so willing to just give it up but finaly did.

So are we going to say that Burton is a whiner and thinks people should just pull over for him? Cause thats just what he did

But for some reason Jeff doesnt even say it and theres a whole thread devoted to how big of a whiner he is for doing something he didnt do .Yet others does it and nothing is said

apples and oranges,.. apples and oranges folks...
Burton asked to pass for the lead just for a LAP to get the 5 bonus points.... then slowed and let Bowyer have the position BACK.

When Gordon wants by,.. he wants to pass and KEEP IT...
NO WAY to compare the two.

Thats what makes it laughable... ("Oh excuse me,.. I'm the awesome Jeff Gordon,.. you should just slow down and pull over and let me by... You're not worthy to hold me up or me to race you and cost me time on the track")
THATS the impression it gives off and portrays,.. and why folks laugh at him so.

Check the pole Plove24... the votes are 100% in favor of Gordon having to RACE to get by, and him not WHINING about it.
Sure I see guys ask to be let by for a lap,.. (about ONLY from a teammate) and then they swap positions right back.

You'll even notice that Bowyer had reservations about it,.. and he was NOT going to do it IF it was going to end up costing him the lead in the long run... AND Burton is his TEAMMATE,.. and Burton is leading the CHampionship.
SO if a teammate wouldn't help Burton SWAP positions,.. why should Gordon think ANY driver should GIVE him positions.... HAHAHHAHAHAHA

I also think part of the problem is this is not the first time he's been accused of doing this.  And while that link you put is interesting, there was nothing I could find that said the audio was complete and unedited. As such, I tend to take it with a grain of salt. Course, it might be there and I just missed it.

And to the other question, if others were doing the same thing as Gordon's accused of, as Chris said, the response might be different. McMurray got lambasted for doing so in the last race of the real season the chase's first year. Or actually, I think he was asking people not to pass him, not asking to be allowed to pass them. But either way, there wasn't a good word to be found about him. and Burton, in the same case, would probably face the exact same remonstration. And that's without kinda badmouthing his teammate.

Speaking of which, I don't think his comments about Vickers have helped his perceived "whiner" image either.

Well where is the bashing or thread about Burton doing it this weekend? So stating the truth about vickers makes one a whiner?

You are right Gordon NOT asking Vickers to pull over and let him by is totaly differnet then Burton asking Clint to move over and let him by for 5 bonus points.

Yet its Gordon thats called the whiner about wanting people to pull over for him lol Amazing the double standard there is for Gordon and the other 43 guys out there

Oh yeah a poll is always right and as if Gordon haters gives him a chance There is a double standard for Gordon and all the other drivers out on the track. I actualy thought you was able to debate without actting like you are now guess I was wrong.

Botton line like it or not Gordon doesnt get a fair shake when it comes to other fans. Is anyone of you going to admit this HEck no cause they would might have to admit you was wrong about your deep passion and hate for Gordon for the same stuff that every single other driver does.

There can be examples over and over again for other drivers out there doing the same crap Gordon might do and its only Gordon thats bad

Gordon didnt even do it and yet this whole thread is posted here lol Point proved , scores and like it or not if you would sit back and think about this logicaly and be realistic about it you would see but of course that isnt going to happen.

Have a nice day you all and remember your driver isnt perfect either. Put up a big sign that says most here is bais towards Gordon and keep Gordon fans from taking the time to sign up

Plove24... you're a Gordon fan,.. thats easy to see... no problem with that.
But for you to come in here and accuse EVERYONE ELSE of being biased,.. well thats a bit extreme.
Looks to me like you (and you're not the only one)... many fans of their favorite driver can't see the facts when they are in front of their face.... They are just SO BLINDED by being a fan... they can't see the facts, even when their driver is in the wrong. (well maybe not 'wrong' but I'll say he's the ONLY one doing it,.. and it's silly to ask someone to "Just let me by (to stay)"
Maybe I'm wrong,.. but I THINK thats why they call it 'racing'

The thing it seems I can't get you to see... is ALL the time when Gordon wants by is for a SPOT.. TO KEEP IT.  He wants someone to let him pass,... so then he can go on and try and pass someone else.
Whats Burton.. (and all the OTHER drivers I have saw) is they want to pass,... then they slow down and give the spot BACK.
THATS why I say it is apples and oranges.  You seem to think everyone is biased against Gordon,.. it's just a fact he is the ONLY one that wants (and whines) about wanting people to move over and let him pass,.. so he can KEEP the spot.
Now if you can't see that or admit to it,.. I'm sorry,.. but thats just the facts...
If I'm wrong,.. maybe some of you other folks will tell me where.  I'll gladly listen.

As far as IF he did it THIS time... I don't think anyone is much cares or if that is really the issue.  It's just a fact he does it SO OFTEN and has done it so MUCH in the past.  THAT is where all the discussion is coming from....

I'm not a Fan,... but I'm not "HATER" either,... I just look at things logically, and call a spade a spade.
