I had a little bonfire out in my driveway today.

When I attended my first race I decided I needed a cap.  I chose a Lowes 48 because it was early in his rookie season and he didn't do much in the Busch series.  I never had high expectations but was going to be a supporter nevertheless.

When we bought seat cushions my wife bought a Jr and I bought a Jeff Gordon one.  I followed his career and he was a good racer that, for the most part, kept his mouth shut.

As many of you know I listen to XM radio.  Yesterday after an interview with Johnson he was asked if he had talked or heard from Brian.  He (Jimmy) said that he had gotten a message from Brian but judging from his previous interviews he didn't think that Brian was really sorry so he wasn't going to call him back.  What a jerk!!!!

During the race Dale Jr. asked his pit crew to clarify with Nascar if pushing was considered bump-drafting as he had pushed Vickers around 3/4 of the track and they had gained about 14 carlengths on the field.  I think that is what Jr. meant when he said that he had taught Brian something during the race.  Now you have Jeff Gordon complaining about Jr.'s bump drafting.  In the driver interviews every one was asked if they thought if the bump drafting got out of hand, and to a man (excluding JG of course) they all said no.  When Jr. was told about JG's complaining Jr. said that he had pushed him to the front 5 different times and if that was the way it was going to be he just wouldn't draft him anymore.  RIGHT ON!!!!!!

A little lighter fluid and the cap and cushion is history.

yep.. Like in a recent thread here,...
Fewer and fewer J. Gordon fans all the time.
Some folks figure it out and drop him,... he's his own worst enemy.

IMO,.. JJ is starting to look like a JG clone.
If you can't win,... whine

Hey,.. theres some good up and coming drivers (Menard, Sorenson, Ragan) ,.. and some older drivers probably be back to race. (Rudd, Elliott, Martin)
SO LOTS of good choices yet to cheer for.
