Magazine names top NASCAR leaders to richest list.
Forbes
magazine's latest list of the 400 richest Americans includes two members of NASCAR's ruling family, a rival track owner, one team owner and the father of a NASCAR driver.
Brothers Bill and Jim France of the family that owns NASCAR as well as the majority of stock in track operator International Speedway Corp. are listed as having a net worth of $1.5 billion and rank 242nd in the nation.
Bruton Smith, the majority stock holder of track operator Speedway Motorsports Inc., is 278th on the list with $1.4 billion.
Team owner Roger Penske, who has numerous business interests outside of the sport, is 140th at $2.2 billion.
JOHN MENARD, whose chain of hardware stores sponsors his son's Dale Earnhardt Inc. Busch Series entry is
45th
on the list with an estimated worth of $5.2 billion.
Way to go John! And congratulations! You have some fine stores there. Waaayy better than Homie Depot or Lowe's IMO. You just gotta build more out here on the left coast. You build them and I'll shop there. Guaranteed.
Who is
your
daddy Brian?
Paul's is about two hundred rungs above your daddy.
How's
that
grab ya?

Ya reckon?
You don't suppose it's the OTHER way around?
Paul Menard is a class act, Brian is another story.
That's my opinion.
Others might agree.
Or not.
