TNT looking at no commercial breaks in 2007? Sports Business Journal reports that TNT is floating a package to potential advertisers that would allow advertising during the race broadcast and eliminate commercial breaks. The advertising would take place on the screen during the broadcast and allow continuous race coverage. TNT will broadcast six Nextel Cup races next summer. The story reports that officials from Turner and NASCAR would not comment. The story also reported that TNT's Cup ratings are down 8.3% from last season

I would support those advertisers, except for Happy Bob.  I'm already happy.

No commercials!?   I'll believe it when I see it (or don't see em as the case may be!)

Now, if we could not see or hear Bill Weber as well, we'd all be happy campers! Grin

Amen, skool, amen....it makes sense, though, if they're really going to try it out, why not with the network that airs only 6 races next season...see how it works for the fans AND the advertisers...

I still say just split-screen it so we can at least watch the race during the commercials...then I can mute the TV and turn up Trackpass...won't miss a minute!  Grin
