Did anyone else see Jeff and Dale Jr. on Wind Tunnel?  Lot's of people won't like to see this but the two admitted to being friends.  Jeff also said, something I've heard before, that he and Sr. were friends.  Jeff and Sr. had business dealings together.  Dale Jr. also said he and Jeff talked it out after the Talledega race.  Jeff pointed out that he was upset at NASCAR, not Dale, for the bump drafting.  NASCAR said NO bumping, but they didn't do anything on the track once it happened.  Jeff's point was that they should not have said one thing and done another.

One more thing, and this made me laugh (especially since I have stood up for Jeff in the past), Jeff admitted to whining.  He said that in the heat of the moment that he does sometimes complain, but it's because he wants to win so badly.  Anyway, there you go.  An admission!  LOL

I wish I'd seen it, and I don't often say that about Jeff Gordon clips.  Grin

Yup, Yup.

TruckerMom and I both watched WindTunnel when Jeff and Junior were guests.
Jeff was in studio, Jr. was via closed circuit.

Excellent interview.
Jeff mentioned how much he appreciates the fair reporting on WT.

When both guests were asked about how they felt about each other, Jeff allowed Dale to answer. Then Jeff told the story of their first meeting and kidding Big Dale about the cars Jr. was driving.

This is why I think it's crazy how fans can get all worked up over favorite drivers and the imaginary dislikes of the drivers toward each other off-track.

I also remember back in the day when Jeff first started getting major attention.
"He's just lucky. He's still wet behind the ears", is what one big name driver said --- and that was the attitude of many.
Then, in a post race interview, Dale Earnhardt said Jeff was the real deal. Things went uphill for Jeff after that. But if my memory serves me correctly, it was Big Dale who broke the ice for Jeff.

Enemies or friends ---- you be the judge. Smiley

I concur, very informative show.  The "media" has a way of sensationalizing everything a driver may say in the heat of the moment or misinterupt what the driver said...and of course we know the rest of the story.  Anything to rally the troops, by taking something so minute out of context and go with it, creating a 600 pound fan gorilla.

Did anyone catch the last part..."Ingrid washed the dishes, I dried"...now that Jeff clarified a negative aspect of his personality trait "whinning"...only to worry now about dishpan hands. Grin Wink Smiley

The truely sad part that has come out of that was the Jr fans that thinks Jr was just being nice and didnt really mean it. When Jr said that him and Jeff are friends.

I doubt that Jeff and Jr hang out together but I cant see Jr hanging out in NYC for the weekend, I think he would rather be at home or in the country rather then in the big city. To where Jeff loves the big city cause he can somewhat hide there. But We've all seen pictures of Jeff and Jr laughing together at the track. So there is some kinda friendship there along with Jr admiting that hes gone to Jeff to talk to him about business. I believe that Dale Sr and Jeff were friends and that Dale Sr liked joking around and giving Jeff a hard time. Like teasing someone you like but if you dont like them you dont say anything to them

As far as Jeff admited he whines. Yeppers he did he was man enough to do that. None of us are perfect and all have faults. Atleast he is aware of his and admits it.lol

I was also kinda shocked to hear he loves the show flip that house. That he would like to do something like that.

Now the question is why dont they have a dishwasher with as much money as he has lol

I think Jeff has an excellent head for business, it would appear he may dabble in the real estate market.  He already owns a "large chunk of very valuable real estate property, the #48 car."  Knowing that, you think these "mobile homes" the drivers homes away from home, a dishwasher would be a top priority. Grin  OH!  would there be that many dishes, models only eat soda crackers and drink water...I don't see many dishes to wash there... Smiley
