Question: Should NASCAR look more closely at all debris cautions (i.e. – Robby Gordon possibly/probably throwing out roll bar padding) before throwing out the yellow flag? Or are the number of debris cautions we’ve had this year (29%) necessary to ensure the sa  (Voting closed: November 09, 2006, 08:22:55 AM)

The issue with Robby Gordon has been a very popular subject all over the net.  Let's hear what you think...here's the opinions of Mike Neff and an anonymous staff member:  http://www.frontstretch.com/wtc/5988/

I think NASCAR made the right call with the penalties.  I think there are far too many mysterious cautions as well though.  As for Robbie, while I appreciate the drive it takes to make it in racings major league, I can't say I have ever seen anything about him that makes me think he is a positive to the sport.  He can flat out drive, but he has caused about as many wrecks as anyone else in the time he has been in Cup.  He didn't seem like a team player when he was with RCR.

I'll never forget him wrecking Jeff Gordon at NH in the make up race in 2001.  I loved it when Jeff came back and ran into him.  I just wish he'd have done it more successfully.  Robbie ended up winning the race.

Yeah,.. I'd agree with this... he's no better or no worse... they all have their moments.
I'd say Robby can "out drive" MOST of the drivers on the CUP series.  Drive CUP cars, Indy car,.. off-road,.. drive about anything with wheels.

Yeah,.. seems I remember that... Robby just gave back what he got.  Didn't do anything Gordon don't or hasn't been doing.  If I remember it was mre the ol 'bump and run'... not like when Gordon wrecked Kenseth... but I digress...
I think Robby's never been given due credit for being as good a driver as he is,.. especially for being a one car team, and still being as competative as he is.
