WOW....we're famous......well ok....FS and Tom are now
Here's just a bit of what was said about FS
NASCAR's growth slows after 15 years in the fast lane
By Nate Ryan, USA TODAY
“Tom Bowles, 25, managing editor of a website (frontstretch.com) that caters to NASCAR fans, wrote recently he was "getting really nervous NASCAR might really be in trouble." He says fans are tuning out because speeds have risen on many tracks, making it harder to race side-by-side.
"I've never seen a year where more people are saying, 'I've been a NASCAR fan for 20 years and no more. I'm not being taken care of anymore,' " says Bowles, who has followed NASCAR for 17 years.

Tom's article appears here, and he hit the head right on the nail IMO.
Nate Ryan of USA Today couldn't have picked a better source to quote than Thomas Bowles.
Appreciate you posted that M'dear.
I think alot of fans are checking us out now because of the USA Today (or yesterday) article. This could be the start of something big(er).
Thank you Thomas
Thank you Frontstretch
Thank you USA Today
This is exciting news!
Yes it is.

I heard that quote on the radio last night as I was driving home from the store - I forget the name of the show.
See, I'm learning stuff. They said that all these new people had come onboard the NASCAR train when Dale Sr. died and other things were happening at that time, but now that not much is going on, these "new" fans are leaving the sport - that was paraphrased, because I can never remember exactly what anyone says!
I guess they were just "fair weather" friends - I'm new to really getting into NASCAR - I've watched races for a long time, but didn't necessarily pay attention to who the drivers were, what was happening to the cars and stuff, but It's fun to learn about and I've got some friends who have been long-time fans and they are passionate about NASCAR and "their" particular driver!
Anyway - I don't intend to be a "fair weather" friend.
