Has anybody else been to Homestead?
This is a beautiful time of year to visit that track.
Not too far from the Florida Keys either. Cool

For excitement, there's always Aligator Alley.
If y'all see a log in the road, don't get out of your vehicle to remove it. Sooner or later, it'll move itself.  Shocked

It's twue!
It's twue!

Pink elephants are another story.
But, they're usually gone by morning.
It's the head ache you'll wanna remove.
Can't help y'all there.

Just keep a sharp eye out for them killer attack palm trees and parked cars. Embarrassed Tongue Roll Eyes
Maybe switching to Pepsi will help.
Ya reckon? Wink Cheesy

I've only been to Daytona and TMS.  As far as what goes on around the track, I like Daytona better...there's just so much that's around there.  I like Daytona better for the racing...but when it comes to the seating, don't bother asking for help cause the people that are supposed to help are just as clueless as you are!  TMS makes for boring racing usually, but the fans that hang out in the parking lot on the backstretch are some of the best I've ever met.  We had one guy come up and sit with us for several hours back in April and we just all goofed off drinking beer and chatting about random stuff....never met the guy before in my life!  I'd really like to go to Bristol just once...preferably the night race, but either would do.  I wanna go to Talladega....shoot I wanna hit all the tracks at least once.  I've always dreamed of coming up with and running or at least working with a school that travels along with the NASCAR circuit so the children of the drivers can travel with their parents and still get the education they need and deserve.

I had a blast when I went to Daytona for the 500. I also always look foward to going to Dover. Other then those 2 I have only been to Pocono and I didn't really care for it to much. I mean it was cool to meet Tony in the Vip tent and it was cool going on pit road and seeing the drivers but you can't really see much of the racing cause of the way the track is.

Ain't it the truth! Hey Coors, did you see the Big Ole Bristol Bugs?

Only been to Martinsville and Bristol.  My ONLY problem with it was how steep the bleachers are, They are straight up!!!!!!!
Anyone here who knows me, knows my Bristol story.

Sorry folks I've never been to a BIG track unless checking out Talledega during a non race day counts or driving past Sears Point....shoot me but I ain't callin it Infineon!

Ya know KG you might be on to something with there idea of yours. You could combine education with day trips in and around all the great places that these drivers go to. With a school like you propose the sky is the limit in terms of coming up with creative ways to teach everything from Science to Math. Good Luck !!!

I've only been to MIS and Texas.  The last time I was at a race was when Jr. won in his rookie year at TMS, how sad is that!

But my Mom said I can play a race trip for my birthday next year, so if I wanted to actually go close to my bday that would mean Homestead.  But I'm thinking about Talladega in October.  Smiley

I'd like to go to Richmond sometime too though.

Have to agree with coors9. Bristol was by far the BEST of all. Would love to go to Martinsville or Richmond. I'm a short track fan.

Lowes – my “home” track, if for no other reason than we’ve got the traffic figured out.  Saw little Jeffy G win his first race there.  Have watched races there from the cheap seats to the suites.  Usually make it to the Winston.  Saw the famous T-Rex gobble up the field and embarrass NA$CAR.  Was there the night the DB suits threw the green flag on a wet racetrack and had the leaders wrecking before they finished the first lap.  That night, the Daytona mafia at least had the sense to tweak the rules and let the competitors who wrecked pull out their backups.  Gordon was of of ‘em and went on to win the Winston.  Was there between the third and fourth turns at the wreck-fest after Humpy “levigated” the place.  Fat Tony popped a tire and kissed the concrete right in front of us and JJ won.  That ol’ bump in turn four was a killer (literally, I’m sad to say) and something needed to be done.  But Lowes is messed up right now.  Too fast.  Not racey.

Darlington.  Was there when Terry won the last real Southern 500.  Twice we took young ladies to their first Cup race there.  Made plans late and ended up in Chicken-bone Alley on the backstretch.  Told ‘em that, in their honor, we got ‘em front row seats.

Rockingham.  Sat in the top row in turn four the weekend after Dale died.  They gave out Earnhardt pennants to the first folks who arrived.  A couple dressed in black from head to toe was seated next to us.  They saw that the others around them had pennants and they didn’t.  I thought they were going to cry.  My girls and I had three, so we gave ‘em one.  They must have thanked us twenty times.  We watched C-130s dropping troops on Holland Drop Zone in the distance before the race.

Bristol.  It was only a Busch race, but “WOW!”

Daytona.  Saw JJ win it this year with Chad in the penalty box.

AND, Mrytle Beach, the night Ricky Hendrick ran his first Busch race.  Saw a Craftsman Truck race at South Boston.  And have even watched ‘em run at Orange County, one of the places where NA$CAR drivers used to learn their trade.

Biggest disappointment?  There was a two-lane road to North Wilkesboro and the State of North Cakalacky had plans to widen it.  So I decided to wait until traffic got better.  Now, it looks like none of us will ever see another race at North Wilkesboro.  As much as I hate the thought of two leagues, (which is where the Great Minds of NA$CAR are taking us, if you haven’t figured it out by now), at least it holds out the slim hope that places like North Wilkesboro will get a race.

I agree with flame, I gotta get to Martinsville and Richmond.

Gosh.... FAVORITE track,...Huh?
hhuummm that would be a tough call... and listing how many times i been to each one..??No way I could even start to do that.
When you been to 150 Cup races,... I been to many at each of the tracks I been to...

I guess my Favorite track just don't exist any more.
I LOVED the OLD ATLANTA configuration.  Shame they made it into just another cookie cutter 1 1/2 mile track like Lowes and Texas.  The old 1 1/2 mile track that was two long straights with two long sweeping turns sure made for some awesome racing.  Kinda like a Martinsville on steroids.  Not another track around like it now,.. would of been nice to have "something different" like it around now.

I guess my favorite track that is still racing is Darlington.  Saw some great races there.
I've been to:  (CUP RACES)
Atlanta (old and New)
Darlington
Daytona
Talladega
Richmond
Martinsville
Michigan
Lowes
Indy
Nashville
Rockingham

CTS
St Louis
Milwaukee
Kentucky
Phoenix
