Well Chris, I checked and re-checked and I have a different answer than you. The only the I can figure is that maybe they have a NickName for one of the track's you mentioned or the answer I have is a nickname. If you would like the Answer just let me know.

I only have the Question and Answer. I don't have any running order or anything like that. If we don't get an answer to day then I will give it tomorrow, How's that sound?

I hate to be persnickety...
But that race Lee did win... Buck Baker finished 7th (no crash),... and Speedy Thompson wasn't even in the field...

I think we have about decided possibly what I originally listed could be the correct answer,.. but the track was moved (when the state fairgrounds moved to a nearby different location)... and when it moved the track was renamed.  FHH is still checking..

Well the Answer is HUB City.I'm not sure if the race was moved or if this is a Nickname for a Track.

I'm gonna guess 0.  It was the running track around a football field.

My Nascar enclypodia says "see Piedmont Interstate Fairgrounds" when I looked up Hub City.

Way to go, Chris.

Willy T. Ribbs was the fifth black driver to compete in NA$CAR's top circuit.  In 1978, he was offered a Cup ride by Will Cronkrite, but failed to show up for two practice sessions and was fired.  Who replaced Willy in Cronkrite's ride?
