But seriously folks, we got this new track that Rusty Wallace is building in Newton, Iowa which is just east of Des Moines a bit. It is scheduled to open in September.  www.iowaspeedway.com

Rusty was on "TrackSide" yesterday... He was talking about the new track,.. and had some pics of it.
Said it was 7/8 mile.  Nice to see NOT just another "cookie cutter" track.  Seems to have all the latest safety innovations, and most modern stuff.  Looks like it would be a GREAT place for a CUP race.

YOu know that is almost the "perfect" size track...  Bg enough for NASCAR events (and IRL, CART stuff),... yet small enough to draw ARCA, Hooters, ASA, USAC, etc and put on a good show.
Could even put on some good touring Late Model shows.  Heck it even has a road course on the infield,.. so it can draw some road course events.
Probably a little big for a 'weekly' show,..... but it should stay busy.

We talked about this before (several times) we finally decided the only way it would  happen  (ALL of us) is if someone hits the lottery. BIG time!
Several people have meet up at races though, I think BBabe holds the record (then again she moves evey other week!!) I have met DaHawk and The Duckster .  A couple others here I'd love to meet. One in the great white north and one in tornado alley,to mention a few. 

 I'd like to get to Richmond this year. Hey! doesn't SOME ONE live close to there now??

 I'm gonna go get a lottery ticket!
 Wow now there's an idea!  We can all pool our money and someone can buy the ticket, when we hit, it's party time at FS!!!

Well, fire up the ship and come on over to MY end of Virginia, Ros!! I'm firming up plans to go to the fall Richmond race, and I'm only an hour away!!

Yes, I've met Ren, Cheryl and Josh, and GG and her hubby, trackslayerfan...and I'll get to meet more!! RG and CG and all y'all out west need to watch out...sometime this winter I'm headed Cali-way!!

Sorry folks but I've been just a tad bit out in left field lately......keep positng away...I'm readin them and working on some ideas.

'BB' It would be a pleasure to have you in this neck of the woods......either North or South you're bound to have a blast.....keep us posted and when ya get here we'll throw ya some 'To Do' ideas.......Top of My list would be the Ocean......we have some great beaches......and some mighty fine HOT guys.......Surfing sure isn't NASCAR but Hubba.........nothin like a guy in a WET suit.......LOL.........OMG help me now.....I feel the ocean calling my name.

I just got off the phone with my Big Brother Blu and his wonderful wife Jay..........Thanks buddy ya made my day. I loved talkin with you two and am glad I made the call.

Now I'm more determined than ever for all of us to get together. I wanna meet the people I have come to know and love here and who have been there for me at this most trying time in my life. The memorial service is in two weeks and then the kids start school, and mama is gonna take a much needed long weekend break and head to Southern Cal for a little R & R. I don't know what I'm gonna do while there but I'm sure I'll find soemthing to do....maybe Disneyland, or some bodysurfin of some sort. Then this little project of mine will get it's full attention.

Pleasure was all ours Kiddo!!   A great fun time to what was otherwise a boring  and VERY Hot day here.

We LOVE getting to finally get to talk to folks we ve met online. So far in talking and meeting  a few weve made some very good and long lasting freindships  all over the country and even a few in the UK,even though we may never meet some in person.
Its great to finallly put a voice to a name and find out that person is just..well plain, old ..folks... like us.

 I highly encourage it if the opportunity arises.

LOL…….Hail yes…^5 PHF  we ‘MOM’s are the one’s invented the word multitask……if it can be done while we are on the phone or in the bathroom we rise to the occasion and do it. Yes baby, I can bake you a cake, make an appointment for YOUR car go into the shop for repairs, wash and dry your work clothes, their school clothes, water the lawn, have the auto shop on hold to make the kids a doctors appointment, answer any knock at the door, make a mental list of things I have not finished yet for the day all from the comfort of my own personal and paper supplied office better know as the bathroom.

“Hey”…….
Who stole the roll of TP” 
Bangs furiously on the bathroom wall 
“Hey……..anyone out there” 
total silence….they all left the building 
Using the old thinker, I hang up the phone and use my only available tool….The Phone…..to call everyone’s cell phone, and all of a sudden
“knock knock……MOM” 
Ah-ha works everytime…..
Whew close call.

Blu.....All I can say is thanks again for laughs you and Jay amde my day. It's ncie to hear that my house ins't the only Grand Central Zoo up and running.
