Wow!  A lot of info to take in. Thanks! This whole thing started with the new commercial for the Daytona 500. Where they say all that is missing is you, and that was it. I know the Jimmy tix aren't the best in the house, but it really doesn't matter to me. We wanted to camp until we found out it was around 3,000. I'm sure we have a lot to learn. I know I-4 can be a pain even when ther's no race. At least we're on the East side of Orlando. Luckily we're down there for 10 days. Partly in Cape Coral. You goys are all so cool. I'm glad I found the site.

Welcome, cheerforthebeer.  So where do you hail from?  Like Aftershock said, we're a big family here (lol....some literally).  I've been involved with the FS crowd for over 3 years.  Some of the faces have changed and some of the "names" have changed, but we all have a fun time.  Hope you post often.

I was born and raised in Canton Ohio. Most known for the Football Hall of Fame. I found this site by looking up Jimmy Spencer's name on google. I'm always warning my kids about what they're doing online and now they're laughing at me. I wouldn't have even known how to put a picture in if it weren't for my 13 year old daughter. I used to listen to rock music, then a couple of years ago I started listening to country music. I happened to be watching CMT on day, an watched a special on Dale Jr. That's how it all got started. My husband and his brother own a Burgular alarm company, so he is in front of a computer all the time. He rarely uses it for anything else. He's been a real trooper with all my new found changes. When I got into the Nascar thing, he could've taken the attitude if my kids that I'm a hillbilly, but has been great. We've planned a lot on things around race dates. I have a DVR but I still love to watch it live, and we have to put the Browns on the little PIP on tv. This site is great! Thanks for all the welcomes.

Welcome CHEER
Hey,.. just because your a Nascar fan.. don't mean you a HillBilly.  If so I guess many MANY folks are.  They fill up the grandstands every week with them... LOL
As far as your back straight seats.... No problem with the... You can see as much from those as you can from the front straight.  ONLY thing you miss out on is the pit stops.
The super Jumbo tron TV screen will keep you filled in on all that.

NOW,... I hope your seast are up HIGH... at the races the HIGHER the seats the better.  Many folks don't know that.  They just have the impression that like most things (concerts, etc etc) up front and down close is the way to go.
AT a race the HIGHER you sit the MORE you can see.
OH,.. and you and (whoever) you go with,... might start studying up on new car and driver combos.  Always hard when the new season starts to know who is driving what car and what new sponsor.  If you can all 'quiz' yourselves on sponsors and car #'s... you'll be ahead of the game.  That way you can look at a car and know the "new" driver that is in it THIS season.
When you are actually AT the track you are kinda "on your own" with no TV etc to fall back on...
Most of all take in all you can and have fun.

My first race was on the back straight of Talladega...didn't see much action, except when Tony Stewart and Ward Burton came around turn 2 fighting for position, and ran out of pavement (back then, there wasn't pavement inside the backstretch, just grass...tended to break a car's momentum, or at least direction)...the "Big One" started right there in front of us, and in my experience, often there is a lot of action off turn 2 at a lot of tracks, so you'll have fun, no matter what.

I've since gotten hooked on being able to see the action on pit lane live, and pay the money for Frontstretch tickets, but just being there is an experience. Have a great time! Cheesy

I haven't paid much attention to what the ack straight grandstands are like now days at Dega.... USED to it was a "short" grand stand and couldn't see a lot (heck I can remember when people used to just sit on the grass on the hill on the back staright there)
Anyway AT Daytona, a couple years ago, I sit on the back staright about 1/2 way up... and we could see the whole track just fine (except the pits)
SO the back straight offers a good view....

"Sit with Jimmy" promotion huh.....  Think I might pay extra to get Jimmy to leave me alone.  LOL

Yeah, my favorite section at Lowes is the Diamond Terrace Tower, and exactly for that reason BB.

Hey Busch Babe...I'm curious.....Whose Babe are you? Kyle or Kurt?  Anyways, about the Fanzone tix. Our kids bought those for us for Christmas. I remember the Bon Jovi concert last year. We're big fans of Sugarland so it was cool to see Jennifer up on stage with Jon and the guys. It was also cool to see Dale Jarrett rockin' to the concert. I'll have to admit though Mikey looked a little out of place! When did you find out who the entertainment was? I've been trying to find out online with no luck. I'm sure they probably know by now...... Thanks Jamie

Ya reckon?

Go back in the archives here, Cheer, and check out some of Busch Babe's photos. She seems to get up close without a telephoto lens.
I'd slide down razor blades into alcohol  Shocked Shocked Shocked for a chance to get as close to the Roush action as she does. Wink

ooohhh hubba hubba

Welcome Cheer.  Hope you enjoy your time here.  We're a pretty good bunch.
No one will bite... Watch out for Shocky, he may nibble a little.. hehehehe

OH and check out EVERY post,.. some may sound dis-interesting,.. then get off topic, and turn into some juicy stuff... heehehe
Take your time,.... this is the off season,... we'll be crankin up here real soon.  Get involved with some of the stuff and play along like Nascar A-Z, Word Association, and trivia.  Also feel free to add some good joke you hear to the "Jokes" section.  When the season cranks up... we play a couple fun games here on the site.

Your makin me blush Chris! I have the whole weekend to do nothing, so I will really check ou the whole site. Everyone here in Ohio is getting ready for the big OSU game Monday. We're not real big fans, not as excited as most people are. I'm more excited about Nascar coverage on tv this coming week, and I see ESPN has a new show starting in Feb. I still have the Homestead race on my DVR. Every time someone walks in they say are you really watching that AGAIN?Huh?

Yup...there is a suspicion of a distant relation to Kurt and Kyle, but not directly related.

Pics?? I haven't got time to upload any new ones as I have to get ready for work, but here are some from my last race last season:
