Ifin Ya Can't Run with the Big Dog's Stay Home !!

It's been Reported also on Jay-Ski Site that Benny Parson's condition is now listed as Critical..damm thought
he had this thing almost beat ! Last I heard it was in remission , then updated that minor complications had
become apparent from the radiation , normmaly a post operation infection..but this can be very dangerous
due to deminished white blood cell count due to his current treatment. I was just thinking of him , while
watching Chris's post of the Nashville Race back in 1974. Now I,am kinda depressed , my Dad and Grandmother both died from this damm disease. I sent in a E-Mail letter to his Blog...sure hope they get
him better and back in the Broadcasting Booth....He's a Real American Icon..and Gentleman...Baby !

I just saw it on NASCAR.com...all they say is that one of his lungs was so badly damaged by the treatments....my prayers he recovers.

yeah.. I'm kinda like Tyyrus...
seems like this has kinda been kept 'hush hush'
we knew he it was 'in remission'... then got that little brurb that he was having problem with one lung,.. but when you start hearing stuff like "he's in the ICU" and "He not accepting ANY visitors"... that gets to be serious stuff...

My best to Benny.  Hope he makes a turn for the better.  He's a champion in every form of the word.

Nice comments Guys and Girlies , I guess I'am just a sentimentalist @ Heart..Eh ! It's funny I really don't
even know the Man. I guess it's just respect or admiration..I don't really know. Hell , I even remember
when I heard that Mr Green Jeans and Captain Kangeroo Died...heck it felt like a family member had passed.
Probably something to do with getting long in the tooth , any how , I sure do hope he makes a turn for the
better...I miss his comentary and vast knowledge of the Sport that he shares every Race..Ty ! Sad Sad

Things are strange here in Canton...Weather is warm. Is it Spring already? I have buds in my yard trying to pop up! Everyone's REALLY excited about the OSU championship game. I'm excited because we bought our plane tix to FLA today. We're going to Ft. Myers for a week before the race. Take care...Jamie

Actually Tyyrus it show's how nice of a guy you really are.

As for me, Well I will just say that my Dad Died from Lung Cancer so I know first just what it does to a person. Just when you think they are doing good then they take a turn for the worst. It was kinda strange because when my Grandpa had Lung Cancer they said he wouldn't live thru the night and he was with us for 2 year's and then they told my Dad that it wasn't very bad and he Died that night. Basiclly what I'm trying to say is that God is the only person who know's when your time is up, Not the Doctor or anyone for that matter. I wish Benny all the luck in the world and I will continue to pray for him and let's not forget his family either. I know it's not easy on them.

It's great to express hopes and prayers for BP here, but, according to Jayski, we can get a message to him or his family at the addresses below:

>>Parsons is not allowed visitors at this time, but fans and associates can continue to send him messages, to email Benny, go to BennyParsons.com or goprn.com.(1-5-2007)<<

Parsons stabilized, yet condition still critical
By Ryan Smithson, NASCAR.COM
January 9, 2007
02:57 PM EST (19:57 GMT)

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Benny Parsons remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Carolinas Medical Center, but his condition has not changed since the weekend, his family said on Tuesday.

Parsons, 65, is listed as critical, but his condition has stabilized. He continues to fight complications brought on by treatments for lung cancer.

Parsons revealed in July that he has lung cancer. Treatments caused him to miss several races in his job as an analyst for NBC/TNT.

In October, Parsons announced that his cancer was in full remission. Even so, his health began to decline as the year came to an end. He was unable to attend the Nextel Cup Awards Ceremony in early December, and he was re-admitted to the hospital on Dec. 26.

Parsons, the 1973 Cup champion, has long been one of NASCAR's most visible and popular personalities. Parsons also hosted a talk show every Monday evening on PRN.

Parsons is not allowed visitors at this time, but fans and associates can continue to send him messages at bp@goprn.com.

The treatment for cancer can ravage your body. I keep praying we won't lose Benny too.
