The world is much less polite with the passing of this wonderful man.

Another man who'll be terribly missed by the NASCAR community. Godspeed, and a good rest.

Michael Waltrip's quarterpanel at testing...he was quoted as saying they were getting everyone to sign it, and going to send a pic to BP's wife to let her know the NASCAR garage supports them.

Kenny Wallace's father-in-law also passed away today.
And I heard that Dick Landy, of drag racing fame also passed away recently.

This year hasn't started off very well.

My post disapeared so this may come up twice.

I can't believe how this year has started off. I would love to watch the race that is going on in Heaven right now. And as bad as I hate to say it, They now have a Top Notch Announcer to call the races they have and I'm sure he will get behind the wheel here and there. I will always remember his Que The Duck in the middle of the races. Benny was Fair and I think thats what most people liked about him. I know I will miss him alot and I'm sure everyone else will too. GODSPEED BP.

First victory at South Boston Virginia Speedway in 1971.

Wow.  BP at South Boston.

I wonder who else ran that race!  I see from my NA$CAR Chronicle book that Bobby Isaac had the pole.

It is hard to believe he's gone.

As much as a lot of fans don't like Darrell, I think he's done a lot for the sport.  I think it will be a shame when his turn comes.
