Tony Stewart to Offer 1 Million to Iroc Series !

It's being Reported that Tony Stewart has just Offered the Iroc Series one million dollars , apparently he has
only one condition. (Are you sitting down Flammer ?) The condition is that one of the Series Races be Held
@ Eldora Speedway...well now that would be Interesting...we will just have to see what developes..Eh !

Seating: 16,225, which means that he would break even on the million if he charged about $62 a seat, but that don't pay a nickel towards insurance, utilities, security, payroll, etc, so you'd have to pay more like $100 a seat and have a sell out to actually break even.  Obviously, he would sell advertising and he'd receive royalties from television, since all IROC races are televised, but unless he truly don't mind losing money he is likely to do no better than even on a money basis.  Of course, he has the money to spend and having the race in Eldora would raise the consciousness of people towards the track.

Apparently Smyler , he's offering the Championship Money he Won last Yr as the Iroc Champion !  But still
quite a nice gesture to ensure the Iroc Series Continuation.Eh !  Hope it is Considered !

Contrast Tony Stewart to Brian France.
One is all about money, the other is all about racing.
Besides, all Tony has to do is win the I.R.O.C. championship again and it should cover the costs.

Or, in the event the event doesn't at least break even, wouldn't that be a loss and a tax write off? With the kind of money Tony brings in, I'm thinking he'd appreciate a tax break.

He bought a company that makes and sells radio controled scale cars because he enjoys doing that. I don't know what the profit margin is for that investment, but I doubt he bought it for the monetary return. More for the fun factor.

If Tony gets an I.R.O.C. race at Eldora, doncha know the local economy would be increased. That would go a long ways in the eyes of the city officials. The mayor might even give Tony the key to the town.  And if he could make it an annual event, I think he'd realize a profit within a couple of years, on top of the community spirit. Win, lose or draw, I think it would be a win-win situation. Might even be on the cutting edge of something new.

Tony wouldn't need Brian's okay to license the official NA$CAR logo for I.R.O.C. collectables, so he could potentially do well in that catagory, along with T-shirt, jackets, hats, etc. Cha-Ching! Show me the money!

I honestly don't think he even cares if he makes any money or not. He LOVES racing and it shows, And yes we need more people like him. Eldora is bigger than it looks trust me, I would say that more seats could be added with no problem at all. I know the people in the surrounding cities really like the place but the owners just couldn't afford it anymore and the land developers were offering such a big chunk of change they couldn't turn it down. And look at it today, It might hold an IROC race. I don't know of any driver that has ever offered ANY money to keep a series afloat let alone offer to use his track. I'm sure B.France is a little upset wandering why Stewart doesn't give him a Million Dollars for something LOL. As you all may know that Stewart is my FAVORITE driver but this makes me look at him in a whole different way. This shows me what kind of person he really is. I hope IROC will take him up on the offer and keep the IROC series going. We don't need to start losing racing series cause before you know it we will start losing Big time racing sreies. Oh and TYYRUS, If this does work out you will have to come down and watch. Eldora is close to an hour away from me so you know I'm excited. Now he can look back at all of those people who said he has problems. What's his problem now, Being too nice LOL.

The more I think about it the nicer of a gesture this seems.  Good for him.  ALMOST makes up for his over aggressive driving style in Cup... ok, maybe not, but it's still nice.  Sorry guys, but I can't forget the Pocono race.

Heck No ,  Tony's Probably the Only reason I,am going to continue to watch Nascar ! It's his colorful personality that
Nascar is lacking !
