It's just been Reported that Ashley Force , the second Oldest of John Force's Daughters is moving up to
Funny Car Full Time. Ashley will Join Force in the Fourth 8,000 Horse Power Ford GTX Funny Car........
Whew we may have the beginning of another Shirley Muldowny..heck if she has half the determination and
talent of her old man..she will do pretty well !  Ashley will start her Professional Career at this years Winter
Nationals in Pomona...can hardly wait to see..this !

P.S. Forgot to mention that Ashley Qualitfied for her Pro Licence with a Qualifing Run of 4.809 sec. @ 320 MPH
it was also stated that her sister Courtney was also attempting to secure her licence at the time of the article.

I'm less that 30 minutes from Parker Avenue in La Verne, California --- home
of the Winter Nationals. They call it Pomona, but it ain't really. Parker Avenue used to be a street that became the track on race days.

A few years ago, the folks living in that area decided enough is enough and wanted the track gone. Then, the city big-wigs informed those folks how much their property taxes would increase if all that revenue from race days was lost. Seems they had a change of heart, and mind, right after that information was presented to them. Now, there is a NO ENGINES TO BE FIRED UP ON SUNDAY BEFORE NOON rule.

Amazing what reasoning can do.

BTW, long ago, and far away, when I was still in diapers, my parents used to live across the street from the L.A. County Fair Grounds. If I knew then, what I know now, I'd have remained in diapers.

I fully expect her to challange Dad for the title at  the Finals late in '07....and I did see Cha- Cha Muldoney in her prime  completely obliterate Connie Kalitta at NY National Speedway (I believe it was there if  the Alzheimer's Fairy hasn't hit me again...there or at Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ)... She was an awesome driver and a great lady to be sure....If Ashley can be half the driver she was she will be awesome too!!

It was at Raceway Park...Englishtown, NJ...Oh the memories. Raceway Park, the only place there is a porta-john attendant that will hand you a warm wet towel as you step out of the port-a-johns. Talk about class. you don't see many other NHRA tracks w/ actual showers for the racers either.

I just finished watching the Replay..she made it through to the qtr. finals but was beat out my her Team mate Hight..Ole John didn't fair any better himself being eliminated by Pendragon. Surprized to see Schumacher eliminated in Top Fuel..but the Seasons early. Hight almost beat out Gary Scelzi..but crossed the Centre line after having set a Track Record in the Semi Finals. Hell.. it sure was funny watching Whit Blazemore in Top Fuel Dragster rather than Top Fuel Funny car...looks like he will need some seat time before we can seriously think of him as a contender ! Off to 2nd Race in Arizona Feb 25th Kragen..Nationals..Baby !

Pretty nice save by Ashley as well when it got out of the grove on that one run, and it shook really bad. Nothing wrong with a pretty girl who can hold a pretty wheel.

Yeah , she has the Bloodline too get the job done..she should fair ok..once she settles in...I like how you have observed , she backed off and saved it to race another day ! Patience is a virtue they say !
