Age is only a number.  I'm still running around after race cars (trucks) with Nick Gullatta, 2006 ARCA Lincoln Welders Rookie of the Year and 2nd in points.  We'll be at it again in a few months with R&D Racing and Stan & Judi Rosen who are my age, and two terrific owners.  I'll be keeping you all posted on how us old guys do on the circuit, plus the MSA Supermodifieds and some dirt Late Model shows that I just have to see.  Racing is what keeps us old guys young!
Thanks for the welcome and I look forward to trading some opinions with all of you.

Well, I guess I qualify to join the new/old guy on the block club.  Saw my first NASCAR race in 1952 at Canfield Speedway.  Grand Nationals with Lee Petty, Tim Flock, Herb Thomas, Curtis Turner and all the other legends.  I was just a kid that got hooked on race cars by going to my uncle's place of work (a body shop and home of the first Hot Rod club in Cleveland-The Throttle Jammers) and they had a stock car there.  Blue & white #127.  I begged my uncle and my Dad to take me to the races and the guys at the shop also stepped up for me.  My Dad, My Uncle, My younger brother and I all went to see "brand new" cars race.  My Dad, My Uncle and my brother hated it.  Too dusty, too dirty, loud, etc.  I flippin loved it and have been at it ever since.  I just wish the powers to be at NASCAR don't screw this thing up.  Too bad there aren't many old guys down in Daytona holding the reigns back on Brian and the rest of the kids.
