Well falcon I think your forgetting that everyone on Mikeys team is Brand New so what reason would they have to CHEAT when they have No IDEA how there going to do at Daytona anyway. I mean think about it, Here ya have a brand spanken new team with a bunch of new guy's who have no reason to do something like this or they really haven't had time to get mad enough at someone like this. Now Mikey on the other hand know's how many races he has missed because of his cars Performance and here is a guy that just spent Million's of dollars on a New Shop, New Car's, New People, And a Small Theme Park and that would tell me that he would do whatever it takes to get into the Daytona 500. Were not talking about a guy that's owned his own team for year's and who know's what he can and can't get away with but IMO a guy that is going into this a little blind.

Who all had access to Mikey's car besides his crew members?
Who DOESN'T like Toyota entering the picture?
Who DOESN'T like Mikey?
Who supplied the "Official Fuel"?
Did the "Official Fuelers" wash the windows and/or check the oil?
Can the "Spirit of Daytona" (ghosts) be trusted not to pull pranks?
Are there now, or have there ever been crooked NASCAR inspectors?
If wishes were horses, would beggars ride?
How close to Mikey's garage area is the nearest Porta-Potty?
Does Sunoco give green/blue/red stamps with the purchase of their "Offical Fuel"?
Are ALL of Mikey's daughter's crayons accounted for?
What color is Crown-Royal?
Did Brian spill anything from the dash of his Lexus into Mikey's fuel cell?
Were there ANY killer, attack palm stumps in the garage area?
Did anyone report this to the local Daytona Police Force, and if so, did they take a report?
What I'm gettin' at is, there are sooooo many questions and verrrry few real answers.
But, I want you ALL to know,
I had NOTHING to do with it!
I didn't do it,
NObody saw me,
They can't prove a thing.
That's
M Y
story ----- and
I'M
sticking (substance) to it!!!
Man-O-Man-O-Fold! What's goin' ON around here?!

Yeah, but the tale now is that NA$CAR ain't talkin'. Ya got any guesses as to why they would keep it hush-hush?
Ty, buddy, I'm glad your a Canuckian. If I ever get in a felonious mood, I wouldn't want you on my jury.
BTW, suppose that neither Mikey nor Hyder did it. Who might have?

Yeah, I know. The crew chief is responsible…. But what I’m wondering about is how does an honest crew chief (no snickering here) make sure that no one else gets frisky? For that matter, how do you keep some miscreant from dumping a pack of two of sugar down your tank?
Hell Falcon..you never know I could be in Judge Wapner's Jury..I still have my Dual Citicsenship..keep your Nose Clean !
Don't No how anyone other than the Crew cold get the additive into the car.
P.S. Think about it...are you really going to believe with all the Plug Checks and carburator adjustments that are done buy the Crew Chief and Head Mechanics..that they did not see the "Strange Residue" If it accumulated in the Manifold..it sure as hell was quite evident to Mikey's Crew..Bro ! As for Nascar not devulging the Fuel Additive..who cares it may have well have been High Octane Fish Oil...lol !

In case you haven't already heard, about a year or so ago, I decided to step back into the future, ----- back when NASCAR was younger. Back when the cars were more easily identified just by looking at them. I decided to back-track to the 1970's, take in all the races I could, relive the days when I wore the clothes of a younger fan.
So, I packed my ice chest with adult beverages, in case I went back too far into the future and wouldn't be old enough to purchase my own. Back in the day, I was more of a lush, and well capable of consuming twice my normal weight in intoxicating beverages. Never can tell how a modern time machine might run on leaded, high octane fuel.
As it turned out, the modern machine threw a rod, so I replaced the 358 CuIn power plant with a Boss 429 Hemi Ford Engine right out of the crate. Bolted a Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed, close ratio tranny with Hurst Competition Plus Shifter to that puppy, and it worked perfectly. I DID find it necessary to govern that bad-boy at 7,000 rpm and 1 mph, though. I was afraid a piston would join the tach and call it quits, and replacement parts for a Boss 429 are few and far between as well as expensive. Glad I didn't settle for that 427 CuIn, single over-head cam engine one of the drag racers wanted to sell me. Although the price WAS right. I was thinking reliability. Call me conservative. But, with a final rear-end ratio, Detroit-Locker, of 3.28 to 1, top end was triple digit and a half. However, I felt safe with a full roll-cage --- instead of the optional convertable time machine. No air conditioning, ......well, it DID have 2-70 air conditioning.
That's ---- roll the two door windows down at 70 mph, and, as long as it was DRY heat, I was good to go. 'Hoomid' weather around 'Hooston' got sticky though. And those love-bugs down south gooshin' on my exposed elbows weren't all that plesant. But, I had a great time none the less and I'd do it all over in a heart beat.
As an added bonus, I stocked up on Bell-Bottom Levis and paisley shirts. Groovy! And far out. Hard to find those in the 2000's I bet.
Anyway, what I meant to say before I got side-tracked is, that I'm ALMOST back home. I'm just passin' through 1989, runnin' flat out, headin' west, covering about 1 month an hour. I DO plan to stop and smell the rubber burnin' at a couple of races I missed on my way into the past that I over-shot on the way out. But I plan to be back on the left coast by around September for the California Motor Speedway race. Gotta catch up on the sleep I've lost for the past year or so. And what better place to do that catchin' up than in Fontana?
Keep an eye out for me. I'll probably be passin' through your neck of the woods shortly. Never know. I don't really make any firm plans. Just drift with the wind, and back again.
Like a rolling stone, I gather no moss. And I have big lips, two, of 'em.
See y'all soon.
Leave the light on for me, ya hear!
Kinda spooks to to travel through time ---- in the dark.
Toota-Lew!

I guess you just have to accept the fact that IMO the #24, 48 ,HMS teams will
ALWAYS
get preferential treatment.
Otherwise... its like beating your head against a wall. You just have to accept that there are rules for HMS......and there are rules for everyone else IMHO.
Yo Blu! Did you see that "debris" caution NA$CAR tossed to wipe out JJ's 2-second lead?
"ALWAYS" is a long time, hoss!

Just saw over on Jayski that Rustyboy got invited to the NA$CAR trailer--just to watch this time--and he said there really was debris on the track. Really. There was.
