Well I have FIGURED out what the SUBSTANCE in Mikeys Tank EVERYONE. Take a look at what I found on Jayski.com. I think someone Acidently wrote this ROFLMAO. It was Jet Fuel and look where it came from. Jetblue had to show Nascar just how FAST their Jet's would go LOL.

NASCAR in talks with JetBlue: NASCAR chief marketing officer Steve Phelps has been talking sponsor consolidation for the past year, but that might change if NASCAR can expand into previously untapped areas. The airline category has been a difficult sell for NASCAR, but officials have been in discussions with JetBlue Airways about a partnership. The New York-based low-cost carrier offers 500 flights per day and provides 36 channels of DirecTV programming on its flights. DirecTV has been NASCAR's official satellite television provider since 2005. Footwear is another category that remains unmined and could hold some potential, whether it's Starter, which is owned by Nike and has a new shoe and apparel deal with Joe Gibbs Racing, or Puma, a brand that's commonly seen in the garage area. Expect NASCAR to also start pitching national real-estate companies, such as Century 21 and Re/Max, sources said

In all honesty...
I truly feel that Mike knew 100% about the cheat.
Common sense points me to how it all lead up.  last year he was missing or nearly missing fields every week.  If you watched the shows (that Mikey Waltrip deal and the Toyota program) and watched closely you could see that team struggled with getting the car lined up, with testing, and then they lost their crew chief to Roush.
Clearly the MWR team has been behind all along.  They went to Daytona and sent Jarret with the SLOWEST car because they knew he had the champions provisional to fall back on.
Even with one of the faster two car,.. from testing Waltrip KNEW he was too slow to have a qualifying speed fast enough to get in the field,.. and the 150 race is too much of a crap shoot.
SO using some sort of a cheat they HOPED they would get by with un-noticed was the last alternative.
I'm sure they didn't have many alternatives,.. and that one probably seemed pretty safe.
They just got busted,.. and the crew cheif was the fall guy,...After all Mikey had to save face with Toyota.
They were ALREADY PO'd and had stated the teams (MIKEY) had used up two of their three strikes,.. so he HAD to distance himself from the whole thing.
IF HE would of come out and admitted he had prior knowledge of it,.. Toyota PROBABLY would have dropped them.
SO all in all it all plays out and makes sense as to why it happened the way it did.

YEAH... I'd lay money he knew about it... May of even been his idea.

Well said Chris...I thought the same , but since I was not aware of the Racing Knowledge level of the Forum crowd I used the Spark Plug Tuning Reference as my Prime Example of how obvious the Cheating would have been to any member of MWR including Mike. As I said before , I like Mike Waltrip...feel sorry he put himself behind the eight ball. I think he bit off a little more than he should have with the Team Development . But anyhow , I realize some people have strong emotions involved with their Guy and dislike him being accused of anything improper. I hope this all goes away also , because as I said this is not the 1st time or the last that a Team cross's the line , I just wish Nascar had established the Truth to suppress the speculations...Ty !  Wink

IMO the ONLY difference between MWR and ANY other team is that MWR got caught and they didn't. I keep reading that MWR has a rule that if you tell then you won't be fired but David Hyder know's what he is doing. If he doesn't admit to it then another team might say, Well he's telling the truth because he could have kept his job so we will hire him. Now on the other hand if he DOES admit to it then MWR could say SEEYA especially if that rule isn't in his contract and then it's time for the Unemployment Line. For me, I think EVERYONE at MWR knew exactly what was going on and I still think Nascar should use this as an example and Suspend the Team from a couple of races and that might stop the next guy from being so Brave/Stupid.
