Don't want to wish bad luck on anybody, but I hope at least one car backs it into the fence so we can find out just how bad these things run without a rear wing.

I wonder if anybody will try a run with no wing just to see how it feels?

I also saw some NA$CAR shills saying that, if the wing is damaged, the teams could stick a new wing on.  I wonder how long that would take?

That's what I was saying also. I mean just look how easy an IRL wing disappears and it's HUGE. I know that on an IRL car it's the first thing that hit's but if a Cup car back's into the wall ever so lightly that wing is coming off. I have seen a few different way's that the team's ar mounting them. I have see everything from 3 Bolt's on each mount to Pop Rivet's. The part that I can't wait to see is when the Front Splitter get's Ripped off and ya know it will especially when somebody comes off the corner to early at a place like Bristol.

Looks like the first day went well. Now we might get the car full time in '08?

I thought the Splitter was going to be a big problem but evidently not. I was sure that the first time that Splitter hit the Concrete it would just Disinigrate but Harvick said when it scrapes the material roll's up into little ball's. When alot of the drivers come out of turn four they actually come down off of the concrete and go below the yellow line to get the car to rotate better but J.Johnson said that his Splitter was hitting every lap so he had to change his line. Ya never know that could help a driver know where he is at when he comes off the corner. I admit, I have HATED the COT ever since they debuted it BUT I know that it will be the Race car of Tomorrow so I am trying to find the good point's about it so when it comes time to run it full time I won't be SHOCKED LOL.

I'm trying to keep an open mind about it because I think we're going to be stuck with it for a long time to come.

One good thing about the possibilities of the wing etc coming off, at least we'll be able to see the debris that causes the caution in those cases.

Clint Boyer's point of view.

"It could be a bumper car type of deal.

"I would say there are going to be a lot of cars on the inside line at the end of the race. With their radiators showing."

Me personally, I think it should be fun seeing how these guys make the adjustments.  It can't be any worse than the yawner at Bristol last summer.

It seems the owners and drivers are changing their tune and actually like the new car.
