It's funny....I welcomed the off weekend for trucks this past weekend, but I'm already ready for another race.  Stinks that we've gotta wait until late this month for more trucks.  I'm hoping there will at least be some news that comes out during this downtime.

I know we've talked about the pit stops on the truck series....but have we talked much about double file restarts for them?  What are your thoughts?

Funny you should mention that. Wayne Naughton or Auton, whatever..was on sirius the Morning Drive Show. They are moving to revert back to the pre 2009 pit stop rules next year. They haven't made a decision about double file restarts. And here's a tid bit NASCAR is experimenting with a fuel can that will not only re-fuel the vehicle but also act as it's own cacth can and there by remove the neccesity of of a catch can man and reducing the # of men over the wall by one.

I would hope that if the can works they will still allow 7 men over the wall. Where the 7th man can make chassis adjustment and service the windshield tear off.

I'm not sure double file restarts are needed in the truck series. I think it gives the rookies and development driver drivers the expirence of restarting next to some of the series heavy weights (as they are consistantly upfront) and then in the last 20 laps pretects the drivers that have worked so hard to be in postion to win.

As Matt Crafton has showed us single file or double file it's still up to the drivers to decides what happens in turn 1 with 10 to go.

The Double File restarts is the best thing Nascar has implements in Cup since Night Races ! It should be utilized in every Series ! Hate the Gas Only scenario or the Tires Only...let them race Damm it !  Wink

I had read something on Jayski that NASCAR was considering switching back to the single pit stops in the series.  We've all been saying all season how horrible they are, but it took the drivers speaking out to actually get something done about it.  I personally want to see double file restarts in the Truck Series, but you bring up a good point about giving rookies and development drivers the opportunity to restart amongst some of the series bests.  All this talk about the truck series makes this break even worse...uggghhh.

More truck series news. Mike Wallace has a secured a ride for the Oct 31st event at Talledega. Mike and Chrissy will be the first Father Daughter to race in a NASCAR series.

I guess alot of trucks will be testing on Monday at the rock. I know RMM RHR and MWR will all have trucks at the track. Not sure if KHI is also in on the test.

I really think the best part about the cup lite series right now is all the trash talkin as driver are getting frustrated after a long season.

Keso Vs. Hamlin (will admit that Denny was professional in his comments today)

Biffle Vs JGR

Tom Logano against Biffle (Tom lost his hard card today after telling the biff he's number 1)

Kevin Harvick against his own pit crew

Steve Wallace who tried to gain the 5th place in points by wrecking the 5th place car.

What would the Press have to Report or the Forums have to gossip over if the Cup Boys were excluded from the Nationwide Series !  Hell Nasacars Rating would drop like the World Economy x 10 !

More CWTS news.

Hermie Salder will pilot a truck for the third time this season at Martinsville and Steve Park has a one time ride for Talledadega in the #02 Corrie Stott Racing Koma Unwind Chevy. I had to copy and paste that mouthfull.

So JJ won practice and the pole. Will he reclaim "his house"?

Gosh I hope not!  But that team is unstoppable this time of year, so it wouldn't surprise me at all.  If he does, I hope it's at least an exciting race leading up to it.
