Forum Guidelines

As The Frontstretch grows, it becomes necessary to lay out forum guidelines for all members. Following these guidelines is not optional, and ignorance will not be a good excuse if a poster violates any of these guidelines. Please make sure you familiarize yourself with what is expected as we hope to make this an enjoyable place for NASCAR fans everywhere.

The following is the agreement you made when registering for the forum. Please take the time to re-read it.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason. We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft.

After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable.

Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.

Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

Above and beyond the agreement you made when joining the forum, we have a few other guidelines that we'd like you to follow:

* Each visitor may have only one registered account. Multiple usernames will not be tolerated, and duplicate accounts will be removed.

* All advertisements will be prohibited unless you have been given prior permission by one of the administrative staff. This includes but is not limited to products, services and any pay fantasy games other than those run by The Frontstretch. If you would like to share a free fantasy game with other users, please feel free to do so.

* Be respectful of all members. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. If you don't agree with someone, go after the idea, not them. You are free to debate topics as much as you want, but if you start attacking a poster, disciplinary action will be taken.

* When copying anything from an outside source, you must post where you got that information from. Most of the time, this will be the url of the story. If you'd like to share a news article from another source, do not post the whole thing but rather a portion of it with a link to the rest of it.

* If you have a problem with another member, don't use the board to air your dirty laundry in a public forum. Contact them via private message to work the problem out, and if the disagreement continues, contact someone on the administrative staff for guidance. However, do not use the private messaging system to intimidate or bully another poster. Remember that the administrative staff can see private messages if the need arises, and misuse will not be tolerated. Any claim of private messaging misuse with sufficient evidence will result in a permanent and immediate ban of the offender's account.

Should you choose to violate the rules set forth here, there will be consequences.

1st Violation - Warning given via pm by one of the administrative staff
2nd Violation - Temporary ban from all use of the forums
3rd Violation - Permanent ban from all use of the forums

While this will be used for the majority of problems on the board, remember that the message board moderators reserve the right to bypass the first two strikes and move straight to the last one for extreme violations.
