As the series heads into its season finale tonight at Kansas Speedway, the ARCA Racing Series announced a multi-year extension—minimum of two years—with Fox Sports Media Group with a minimum of 10 race broadcasts per year.

ARCA has a very supportive group of race fans, and for over 15 years they have turned to us for their television coverage,” said Scott Ackerson, FOX Sports Media Group EVP, executive producer, and SPEED president. “We now look forward to continuing in that role over the coming years.”

The 2013 season will begin with the season opening race at Daytona International Speedway and is scheduled to be broadcast on SPEED. The option also remains open for races to be broadcast on FOX’s growing range of channels.

The ARCA Racing Series has noted that ratings this season have grown by over 24 percent in 2012, especially among younger demographics.

This announcement comes on the heels Fox Sports Media Group agreeing to also offer live coverage of the American Le Mans races at Sebring and the Petit Le Mans.

Coverage of the ARCA Racing Series season finale at Kansas Speedway will be broadcast live on SPEED beginning at 8:30 PM ET.
