Roush Fenway Racing Sweeps Saturday Practice Sessions

Roush Fenway Racing swept both practice sessions on Saturday for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Kansas Speedway. Greg Biffle paced the first practice session, with a fastest time of 29.008 seconds at 186.156 mph. Aric Almirola, who led most of the session, was second fastest at 185.854 mp. Pole-sitter Kasey Kahne was right behind them in third. Matt Kenseth and Martin Truex Jr. rounded out the top five.

Biffle’s teammate Kenseth then led the final practice session for the series. Matt Kenseth’s fastest lap was 182.760 mph. Regan Smith, who is filling in for Dale Earnhardt Jr. while he recovers from a concussion, was second fastest. Hendrick Motorsports drivers Jimmie Johnson and Kahne were fourth and fifth, respectively. Truex rounded out the top five.

The next time these drivers are on track again will be on Sunday for the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Coverage will begin at 2PM ET on ESPN.
