Bill Davis Racing Event Preview
Race/Date: Camping World 200 – Sept. 6, 2008
Location: Gateway International Raceway – Madison, Ill.
NOTES:
This Week’s Race Truck for Gateway International Raceway is Chassis No. 22-95. Chassis No. 22-95 was last raced at The Milwaukee Mile, where the 22-year-old Michael Annett posted a sixth-place finish in his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start.
Another Pilot… The No. 22 Toyota Tundra will fly the Pilot Travel Center colors Saturday in St. Louis. Pilot Travel Centers are located throughout the United States and are the leading travel center for both truckers and families.
NCTS Powerhouse… Bill Davis Racing won its first race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series 61 races ago at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway in the summer of 2005. Since capturing its first victory, the High Point, North Carolina-based team has gone on to win 22 races, which gives the Toyota Tundra camp a winning percentage of 36%. This leads all teams in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series garage.
Starting Up Front… Bill Davis Racing is the only team in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series garage to have seven or more poles in four consecutive seasons. This season, all three Bill Davis Racing entries all have at least one pole position under their belt.
Tested and Approved… Michael Annett spent last Monday and Tuesday at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway preparing for Saturday’s event. He and his teammates Scott Speed and Mike Skinner all participated in the two day test at the Virginia short track.
Listen and Watch … The Camping World 200 is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET Saturday, Sept. 6. It will broadcast on SPEED (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).
Bill Davis Racing Quotes:
Michael Annett on Racing at Gateway International Raceway:
“I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the 22 truck this week. The guys on this team have done such a great job preparing these trucks and I am hoping to have another strong finish this weekend. I love coming to St. Louis. It is a great place to race. You have to be so precise on where you brake and need to get back to the gas early in order to pass. I know the guys are bringing a truck capable of running up front and I am excited about our chances this weekend.”
