Scott Speed Phoenix Truck Advance
Tuesday November 4, 2008
Race/Date: Lucas Oil 150 – Nov. 7, 2008
Location: Phoenix International Raceway – Goodyear, Ariz.
NOTES:
· This week’s race truck for Phoenix International Raceway is Chassis No. 22-95. Chassis No. 22-95 is the same truck the No. 22 Bill Davis Racing team finished seventh with at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway three weeks ago.
· The Muffin Man has Arrived… Scott Speed and Phoenix International Raceway have come together to help a charity that is close to Speed’s heart. Speed worked with PIR and Muze Clothing to design a T-shirt that reflects his style and personality. The shirt will be available to the public for $40, with a portion of the funds going to the Southwest Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, based in Scottsdale, Ariz. A Q&A session and the debut of this shirt will occur at 2 p.m. MST, Friday, Nov. 7 in the PIR media center.
· Need a Red Bull? Red Bull, the leader in energy drinks, will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 22 Bill Davis Racing entry Friday at Phoenix International Raceway.
· First Timer… The 25-year old rookie driver will make his first start at Phoenix International Raceway Friday night.
· Double Duty… Speed will again pull double duty this weekend, as he will compete in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Craftsman Truck Series events. This will mark the fourth time this season Speed has raced in both divisions on the same weekend.
· Listen and Watch … The Lucas Oil 150 is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. MST, Friday, Nov. 7. It will broadcast on SPEED (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).
Bill Davis Racing Quotes:
Scott Speed on racing at Phoenix International Raceway:
“The last five years of my racing career I have made Phoenix my home in the winter for training, so I am excited to race at PIR. I have a lot of family and friends that will be at the race this weekend, and I hope to run well in front of them. I have never run on this track, but I will be racing the Truck along with the Cup car, so I should get enough seat time to learn the track.”

Do you want the chance to win a free Frontstretch T-Shirt, and are you really good at talking about NASCAR? Well, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Our staff will be giving away a free T-Shirt to the reader who makes the best post in our Frontstretch Forum between now and the end of the season. So, what makes a good post? It’s pretty hard to impress us, but here are some things we are looking for:
Does your post spark passionate reactions from other readers? Are you commenting on meaningful NASCAR-related events? Do your posts have substance? In other words, “Dale Jr. is the best driver ever” or “Danica Patrick is hot” will not cut it.
So go to the Frontstretch Forums, post early, post often, and post well! We’ll announce the winner following the final race of the season at Homestead.
