Ickler Makes First Memphis Start for Ballew
Tuesday June 23, 2009
Memphis, TN – (June 22, 2009)- Brian Ickler will take to the track in the No. 51 Miccosukee Resort Toyota Tundra at Memphis Motorsports Park for his first start at the 3/4-mile racetrack in the running of the MemphisTravel.com 200 by O’Reilly 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.
Ickler will be making his seventh start for Billy Ballew Motorsports posting one pole and two top-five and two top-10 finishes.
Billy Ballew Motorsports has 10 previous starts at the Memphis, Tennessee racetrack with a best finish of second place in 2004. The team posted one top-five and four top-10 finishes on the 3/4-mile tri-oval.
“I’m excited about racing in Memphis,” Ickler said. “I heard it is pretty bumpy off turn two from when they transitioned the track from the half-mile to a 3/4-mile race track. The weather is always hot in Memphis so I’ll be working on keeping hydrated this week and hopefully we’ll unload well off the truck and bring Miccosukee Resort and Billy Ballew a top finish.”
SPEED will televise NASCAR Camping World Truck Series qualifying Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 2:00pm ET with Live coverage of the MemphisTravel.com 200 by O’Reilly Auto Parts race beginning at 5:30pm ET.
