Braun on racing at New Hampshire:
“We were pretty fast at New Hampshire last year and should have had a
top-10 finish, but got wrecked with about 15 laps to go.  The same thing
happened to us at Gateway last weekend, so hopefully we can have a
better finish this time.  Racing in New Hampshire is pretty fun since we
are affiliated with Fenway now.  Our whole team is going to the Red Sox
game Thursday night and I am supposed to throw out the first pitch.
I’ve been practicing with the guys at the shop since I’ve never
done that before.  Sixty feet seems like a long way away so hopefully
the catcher will move up a bit to help me out.  The truck race on
Saturday will be a lot less pressure than everyone watching me throw a
baseball at Fenway Park!”

Crew chief Mike Beam on racing at New Hampshire:
“We decided to take chassis 39 to Loudon which is what we raced at
Bristol and ORP.  It’s worked pretty well for us this year, and coming
off a DNF at Gateway we really need a strong finish to get into the top
five in points.  Colin had a good run going there last year, and he has
shown improvement going back to all these tracks for the second time
this year so hopefully that will be the case this weekend.”

FAST FACTS:

-Braun will be racing chassis RK-39 at NHMS. This is the same truck
that he finished 12th with at Bristol and fifth at ORP earlier this
year.

-Braun will throw out the first pitch Thursday night at the Red Sox
game at Fenway Park.  The Red Sox will be taking on the Los Angeles
Angels.  Game time is 7:10 p.m.

-Although sixth in points, Braun ranks in the top four in almost every
key statistical category. He has a driver rating of 96.7 (fourth-best),
an average running position of 8.9 (fourth-best), third of drivers in
laps in the top 15 with a percentage of 86.6 (2537 laps) and seventh in
laps led with 94 laps.
