RICK CRAWFORD AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
The Circle Bar/International Truck and Engine team will utilize chassis CB-20 this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Crew chief Kevin “Cowboy” Starland recently updated this chassis and it made its 2009 season debut at Kentucky Speedway in July, finishing 17th.
Since then it’s been raced to consecutive top-10 finishes at Nashville Superspeedway (7th) and Chicagoland Speedway (4th).
With his 10th-place finish last week at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Crawford advanced one position to eighth in the driver point standings and is 74 points out of the top five and 614 points out of the lead.
Circle Bar Racing is proud to display Michael Gaughan’s South Point Hotel & Casino logo on the rear quarterpanels of its two trucks this weekend at Las Vegas.
Crawford has completed the most laps of any driver in truck series competition at LVMS (1540), and has been running at the finish in 10 of 11 races at the 1.5-mile oval. In his 11 career truck starts at LVMS, Crawford has only one finish outside the top 15.
Crawford is currently fifth in laps led this season with 111.
In 316 career Camping World Truck Series starts, Crawford has posted 156 top-10 finishes – a mark of 49.4%.
In his truck series career, Crawford has been running at the finish of 286 races, the most of any driver in the series and a mark of 90.5%.
Crawford has logged over 54,000 miles in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
competition, the most of any driver in series history.
Crawford will make his 317th start – extending a Series record – this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Crawford’s impressive string of race starts began at the Walt Disney World Speedway on January 19, 1997.
Crawford’s Thoughts on LVMS:
“I always look forward to going to Vegas and having a great time staying at the South Point and eating at Michael’s Restaurant. Vegas is just a great town to go to, number one, but it’s also a neat venue because of the crowd that we have and the people that are interested in NASCAR, especially the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. We are taking a truck that we rebuilt midway through the season and had success with at Nashville and Chicagoland, and we feel like it’s helped us turn around our mile-and-a-half program. This weekend’s race also ends a stretch of six in a row, and during that time we’ve made up some ground in the points race and we’re looking to continue that this weekend.”
