Dakoda Armstrong | Kansas Speedway Final Practice Report

Friday April 20, 2012

Dakoda Armstrong
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Final Practice Report
SFP 250
Kansas Speedway |  Friday, April 20, 2012

Both practice sessions for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series SFP 250 are complete at Kansas Speedway. Dakoda Armstrong and the No. 98 EverFi team worked on race setups during the first session this morning to find a balance they were happy with in their Tundra for the long run. After getting comfortable with the racetrack and finding a good line to get through the corners, Armstrong was able to work with crew chief Dan Stillman to get the truck to handle better in qualifying trim as well. He posted the 23rd quickest time in the first session and ended final practice in the 17th spot.

"It took me a few laps to get used to running here at Kansas again during the first practice. The wall just comes at you so fast out of the corners and it feels really flat to me," Armstrong described. "We worked really hard to get the EverFi Tundra to rotate through the corners and get more overall grip. I think I left a little out there during our mock qualifying run, but starting up front tomorrow is going to be important. If we can start up front, I think we're going to have a good chance at a solid finish tomorrow."

Qualifying for the SFP 250 is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10:35 am EST. The session will be broadcast live on SPEED and Armstrong will roll off 20th for the qualifying session.
