Brendan Gaughan WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in Ford 200

WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE FORD 200 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES RACE AT HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2006.

· Brendan Gaughan led twice for 12 laps to capture WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the Ford 200. Gaughan took the honor for the first time in 2006. Gaughan led three times in two races for a total of 14 laps this season.

· Gaughan finishes the season UNOFFICIALLY in 15th-place in the Craftsman Truck Series championship standings.

· GAUGHAN QUOTES: "It's darn time [smiles]. I'm really, really excited about how far this race team has come and this is the proof of it. It's wonderful to win this award. We haven't led but maybe five laps all season and now we win the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award and that shows how far this race team has come. This team is really excited for next year and we're going to get a lot of those WIX Lap Leader Awards next year."
