K&N Filters Extends Sponsorship of Travis Kvapil, No. 6 F-150 For Three Additional Races
Tuesday March 13, 2007
Concord, NC (March 13, 2007) – Roush Fenway Racing announced today that K&N Filters will continue its sponsorship of the No. 6 Ford F-150 and driver Travis Kvapil for an additional three races. Kvapil will drive the K&N Filters Ford this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, on March 31 at Martinsville Speedway and April 28 at Kansas Speedway.
K&N signed on to sponsor the No. 6 at Daytona International Speedway on February 16. Kvapil led the most laps en route to a third-place finish, crossing the finish line inches behind Jack Sprague and Johnny Benson. K&N also sponsored Kvapil’s effort at California Speedway the following week.
“We’re really happy that K&N has come on board with us for the next three races,” Kvapil said. “We nearly won Daytona, and we’d like to think we can make it up to them by pulling off a win in one of the next three races.”
“K&N is shifting priorities around to make things happen for Roush Fenway Racing and Travis Kvapil,” said Charles Maier, Sports Marketing Director of K&N Engineering. “We see this opportunity to continue our sponsorship for another three races as a fantastic thing for K&N and Roush Fenway. They need a great sponsor and we want to build a great relationship with a top team in the world of NASCAR.”
Kvapil currently sits seventh in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points, 65 points behind leader Sprague.
Kvapil recorded a fourth-place finish in his one previous Craftsman Truck Series start at Atlanta Motor Speedway, coming in March of 2004.
