Pace Laps
Last race for Jeanne Zalasko? Please tell me it wasn’t a dream! Thank GOD for baseball season!
I guess NASCAR decided with so many other variables with this being the first race under the lights at Phoenix that they would not change tires. This is a big mistake since tires that big up grip might have lead to better racing.
NASCAR has sent their weather woes to the PGA. Sure there was a shower that delayed the race but more showers came in just after the race was over allowing NASCAR to get the whole race in basically on time.
Race Grade B-
Seemed to be less side by side racing here than in the past. But at least there wasn’t the wreck-fest we saw in the Busch series.
F for Jeanne Zalasko
This is more for the full body of her work this season. What exactly does she add to the broadcast other than an annoying voice with dumb questions?
D for Casey Mears’ Luck
This team finds problems one way or another. This time it was a blown tire that sent Mears into the wall and cost him a better finish.
C for Jimmie Johnson
Johnson has been over driving his car on a regular basis which has caused alot of wrecks this year. This week it was a little more of one of those “Racin’ Things” rather than a dumb move so he just gets a C.
B for Michael Waltrip
Showed that he can drive the wheels off a car even when the engines are not restricted. We knew you had a good finish in ya Mikey!
A for Kurt Busch
Has had a tough few weeks with aches and pains from wrecks he couldn’t avoid. This week he flashed that championship form grabbing a much needed win!
