Long Afternoon’s Race Into Night-Fantasy Insight
Lowes Motor Speedway
Another of NASCAR’s tradition, how long will it be until NASCAR’s bosses give in to the TV executives who must loath a 600 mile race. The short attention span of the average TV viewer demands this race get shortened. All of the old time fans other traditions have been snipped so why not this one too? In the meantime enjoy this long afternoon’s race into night! But please take a moment to say a prayer for those fallen vets who gave us our freedom. While you are at it give thanks to those that stand in the way of trouble this holiday weekend. After all those are the REAL heroes in this world!

Handicapping the Race
Top Pick (6th Last Week; 2 for 11 for Season, Expect Top 5)
Tony Stewart- Third best average finish here and his sponsor would LOVE to win this one!
Strong Picks (3rd, 15th, 17th Last Week; 16 for 33 for Season, Expect Top 10)
Mark Martin- Was dominant in the Winston, I mean Nextel All Star Event, and should have a better car for the World 600, I mean the Coke 600.
Ryan Newman- Tops the Power Ratings and starts up front too
Jamie McMurray- His first career Cup win came here
Hunch Bet (12th Last Week; 5 for 11 for Season, Expect Top 10)
Greg Biffle- This is one track that has dealt Biffle some bad luck in the past; he is due for a good race at Lowes.
Longshot (8th Last Week; 4 for 11 for Season, Expect Top 15)
Michael Waltrip- Runner up last year in the spring race here, which makes him a huge overlay at 40-1 odds
