Fighting the Monster- Busch Series Making the Grade

Pace Laps
Maybe it was just my ears, but my hunch is that after hearing her sing the National Anthem that Mrs. Delaware did not sing for her talent portion of the pageant .

Fox had great coverage of the Shane Hmiel suspension, including some comments by fellow drivers that said it loud and clear that Shane better be suspended more than 4 months this time.

Race Grade B+
Cautions were a bit too frequent for a better grade but this was another typical entertaining race at Dover.

F for Jon Wood’s Luck
The rumor mill has Wood in contention for a Cup ride next year but this week his luck stunk. After several strong runs in the past few weeks Jon Wood once again was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

D for Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick
It takes two to tango and often two to drive themselves into the NASCAR trailer. Kyle was too impatient and Kevin was out of line revving up his motor pushing Kyle into the infield after their wreck.

C for Tony Raines
Tony gets docked a full letter grade for his speeding penalty on pit road. If he didn’t dig himself such a hole he might have pulled off a huge upset!

B for Reed Sorenson
This kid shows amazing talent and patience! That is a combo that will put him in a Cup ride for next season and in Victory Lane many times in his NASCAR career!

A for Martin Truex Jr
After starting slow this season, the defending Busch champ is back in championship form! Martin cruised to a victory on his home track and will race himself right into a great ride for next season in the Cup series.

How about an F for Johnny Sauter’s luck? He was leading the race when he ran over a wedge wrench on the track which caused his tire to blow, and he hit the wall.
