Once again this week I am going to choose Mark Martin to win the race. In the immortal words of Bullwinkle, “This time for sure.” But folks this is not just a Martin fan choosing winners via the proverbial “Rose Colored Glasses.” Oh contraire Pierre, this pick is based on the numbers. I will save you the long-winded explanation of why Martin will win and in the immortal words of Joe Friday I will leave you with, “Just the facts.” Despite only having one win at Infineon in his Cup career, Mark Martin leads all drivers in top ten finishes with 13 out of 16 attempts. Everyone considers Jeff Gordon the best road course racer in NASCAR, but Mark Martin is a close second and his team is on a nice roll! So this week when you are making those last minute driver choices put your money on number six. Cause this week number six will be number one!
