After one week with the new spoiler rule some teams got crabby and others just went out and had a strong race. Will the new smaller spoiler and required gear ratios lead to better racing? I have my concerns after seeing the result at California Speedway two weeks ago. That track is wide and has a history of good side-by-side racing. Now we head to Vegas that have featured more single file racing in the past. Two weeks ago we also saw that Roush Racing came ready to race! Six of the top eleven finishers at California had Yates-Roush power under the hood. Now add a tighter track and horsepower could rule even more. Las Vegas is all about gambling and this week we see which NASCAR Crew Chief cashes in on his gamble when he rolls the dice on the race setup.
