The Frontstretch Foto Funnies! Loudon, June 2009

Kurt Smith · Wednesday July 1, 2009

Welcome back Frontstretch readers, and thanks for checking out this week’s edition of the Foto Funnies! The Frontstretch would like to congratulate Joey Logano on his historic first win, and we hope it’ll be the first of many for the well-spoken young lad. In the meantime, here’s the inside story of some of the photos of the event!

Unfortunately, young Joey Logano made the rookie mistake of covering up the soft drink logo while being photographed, and lost his entire race winnings in the subsequent fine from NASCAR under Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to NASCAR).

“Crew still mad about the 90-10 winnings split? Fine, Elvis and I will celebrate by ourselves!”

Kurt Busch demonstrates to crew chief Pat Tryson the “incorrect” grip when autographing certain female body parts.

(sigh) ”There she is, the lovely and well-spoken Ms. Spake. Will she ever look my way? Sorry, what was the question?”

“They told me the manufacturer funding pullout wouldn’t make a difference, Todd. What’s that tow truck doing in your pit stall?”

“Just between us guys, Rick did give Junior the R&D car. Word around the garage is that it’s ‘cause Junior gave Mrs. Hendrick a foot massage.”

“They can keep me up here chained to this laptop all they want, but the King ain’t signing off on this Toyota deal!”

“Grubb, you don’t seriously think that sparse goatee is any match for the luxurious Smoke pompadour, do you?”

“And I’d like to thank Tony here for actually believing GM had a future!”

“Come on Kyle, this is Joey’s moment! Take off that moose suit and get out of here!”

Do you want the chance to win a free Frontstretch T-Shirt, and are you really good at talking about NASCAR? Well, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Our staff will be giving away a free T-Shirt to the reader who makes the best post in our Frontstretch Forum between now and the end of the season. So, what makes a good post? It’s pretty hard to impress us, but here are some things we are looking for:

Does your post spark passionate reactions from other readers? Are you commenting on meaningful NASCAR-related events? Do your posts have substance? In other words, “Dale Jr. is the best driver ever” or “Danica Patrick is hot” will not cut it.

So go to the Frontstretch Forums, post early, post often, and post well! We’ll announce the winner following the final race of the season at Homestead.
