The Frontstretch Foto Funnies! Watkins Glen, August 2009

Kurt Smith · Wednesday August 12, 2009

Greetings, race fans! Well, Tony Stewart did it again at Watkins Glen, making him the new King of Upstate New York with his fifth career victory at the track. Unfortunately, though, most fans missed his trip to Victory Lane because it happened on Monday. But that doesn’t mean we can’t share the action with some of the photos here on the Frontstretch!

“Give me that! For crying out loud, you officials can’t even wave a flag! Go everybody!”

“Come on over here, Chip. The Dodge people left me a nice message to give you about your family tree.”

Even when shown the receipt, Kurt Busch was still miffed that crew chief Pat Tryson had included a “tolerating bitchy driver” charge with his services.

Martin Truex, Jr. felt safe rooting for the Phillies, knowing he wasn’t likely to amass 10,000 losses himself.

With ten extra Chase points and three tubs of free Heluva Good! sour cream dip, life just couldn’t get any better for the No. 14 team.

”Where’s Jeff Gordon? Where’s Jeff Gordon? Your dad is a race car driver too, you know!”

”There’s that Goodyear guy pointing at the rain tires again. Ask him if he’s got any wiper blades.”
