Howdy, race fans! It was another great weekend in the Heartland, with Tony Stewart taking victory number four in 2009 in Kansas. But that wasn’t the only excitement to take place at the track. Kurt Smith has once again taken a look at our photo collection from the events of this weekend, and deciphered what really went on behind the scenes!
“Dad says let me pass, or you get the R&D car next week.”
“Holy wedge adjustments, Batman!”
“Tony, wait up! You forgot the Hendrick non-controversial Victory Lane speech notes!”
When presented with the Hendrick Motorsports Coloring Book, Rick Hendrick could not resist coloring in Jeff Gordon’s hair.
Dale ol’ buddy, we really miss you.
“Hey, sweet! Forgot all about the dang Hershey bar in my helmet!”
Later in the autograph session, Hendrick brought in some of his Army friends to stop the crowd from picking on the youngster wearing the No. 24 hat.
