The Frontstretch Foto Funnies! Atlanta, September 2010

Kurt Smith · Wednesday September 8, 2010

Editor’s Note: Frontstretch is proud to bring back the popular Foto Funnies! Every Wednesday, our Kurt Smith will take a handful of pictures from last weekend’s race and tell us what “really” happened in those Kodak moments. This week, we take a look at some highlights from the 500-mile marathon at Atlanta, the Nationwide show the night before, and even a sneak peek at a little Truck Series competition up in Kentucky…

A long-awaited victory for the No. 88 car was cheered wildly, until Jamie McMurray stepped out and thousands of fans realized they’d been duped.

“Now with this new engine Denny, be sure not to shift from fourth to first.”

Still in search of a sponsor, Stewart tried making an impression for Kingsford Charcoal, since endorsing barbecues was easier than shaving cream anyway.

Kyle Busch stars as “Dollar General,” the new sheriff riding into NASCAR Country!

“And you made sure not to confuse the Sport Clips gel with the Mobil 1, right Mike?”

McMurray was thrilled to get the win, even if the combination of McDonald’s and Hellmann’s meant a certain bellyache.

“Whoa, easy, easy Grubb! Guy hug! Guy hug!”
