Kurt Smith · Tuesday November 2, 2010
Editor’s Note: It’s another week of the popular Foto Funnies! Every Wednesday, Kurt Smith takes a handful of pictures from last weekend’s race and tells us what “really” happened in those Kodak moments. This week, we take a look at some highlights from the wild Sunday of Chasing a championship in Talladega…
There are six plate racing violations in this picture. Can you find them all?
As Clint Bowyer pulled ahead of Kevin Harvick, the driver of the No. 29 requested a conference call with Richard Childress, asking if “the cheater” was receiving superior equipment.
“Oh yeah, Junior’s a great drafting partner! Great call! What’s next, are we asking George Gillett for financial advice?”
As his car turned upside down, A.J. Allmendinger suddenly remembered the overheard conversation in the RPM garage about a “cost-saving” aluminum foil roll cage.
“All right! We won it!… uhhh, you don’t see the tow truck anywhere, do you?”
Bowyer’s win gave him two for the 2010 Chase, more than any other Chase driver, moving him to 12th in the standings.
