Top Ten Ways Jimmie Johnson Apologized After Talladega

Mistie Bibbee · Tuesday October 4, 2005

10.  I’m sorry that Dale, Jr. ran into me and caused me to wreck you.

9.  Two free sessions at Chad Knaus’ “Creative Crew Chiefing School.”

8.  Free gift cards to Lowe’s for the other teams, figuring they’d come in handy to buy some tools so they could fix their cars.

7.  To quote the great Steve Urkel (from Family Matters), “Did I do that?”

6.   Geesh… I now know why the crew told me it was a bad idea to put that 6-disc CD changer in the car.

5.  I just wanted to see if Elliott’s M&M’s were peanut or plain.

4.  Sorry guys.  I got distracted when Mike Helton called my cell phone to ask me how I wanted my name spelled on the Nextel Cup Championship trophy.

3.  Whoopsie.

2. Hey, you all know you wanted a caution too! I was the only one brave enough to make it happen.

1.  Gift baskets full of shocks from Hendrick Motorsports to everyone involved in the accident.

Well, Jimmy finally stepped up to the plate and admitted that he hig Sadler and that he was not hit by Jr.

This is an amazing thing as nothing is ever his fault.

I, for one, wanted to see Elliott turn right into Johnson when he made it back on the track but I know Elliott is “bigger than that”!

Johnson said on TV,that it was easy to sit on the couch and judge right or wrong, but fans don’t know until they’ve been there.Looks like we DO know,so it looks like Jimmie owes us all an apology, although I won’t hold my breath.

My guess is that all of the HMS haters can’t back off. They just want an opportunity to slam someone. It will never matter if JJ says is was or wasn’t his fault. Haters just want to hate and be mean about it!

I am a 24/48 fan myself and even I was upset with Jimmie for driving the way he did….you DO NOT bump draft in corners….it is as simple as that
