No. 19 Best Buy Dodge Chicagoland Preview
Tuesday July 8, 2008
STATESVILLE, N.C. – Anyone playing fantasy racing games might take an extra look at No. 19 Best Buy Dodge Driver Elliott Sadler this week at Chicagoland Speedway. Those who have watched the Sprint Cup races over the last month know that Sadler’s Dodge is consistently one of the fastest cars each race. Cut tires and bad luck have plagued the Gillett Evernham Motorsports team in many of those races but once it avoids those obstacles a run of great results should follow.
The Emporia, Va. native has seven starts at Chicago and has earned one top 10 finish. Sadler is 25th in driver points.
Elliott Sadler Quotes
ON DAYTONA LAST WEEK “We had a solid run going last week. But when that tire cut, our night was over. I hate it for the Best Buy crew. They work so hard week in and week out. That’s just how racing is sometimes.
“The Best Buy guys are focused. There’s not much you can do about a cut tire, sometimes that’s just the way the cards fall. We’re frustrated but we won’t let it keep us down. The team has been working extremely hard and we’re going to keep our heads up heading into Chicagoland.”
ON CHICAGO “Chicagoland may resemble places like Kansas and Vegas, but it’s different. Each one of those tracks are unique in their own way. At Chicago you’ve got to watch yourself coming off of turn four. It gets pretty narrow there and it’s real easy to run out of room if you’re two, sometimes three wide. We’re just hoping to get this Best Buy team the finish it deserve. The crew is consistently bringing strong cars to the track and it’s time we get some finishes to show that.”
