Cat Racing/Dave Blaney Event Preview
Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Allstate 400

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Notes
· Indy’s Camry…The No. 22 Bill Davis Racing team plans to utilize chassis No. 34 for the Allstate 400 this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This is a brand new Toyota Camry.
· Blaney’s Career Stats…Blaney will make his 287th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start when the green flag waves for the event Sunday afternoon. He made his first career Cup Series start in October 1992 at [Rockingham] North Carolina Speedway and finished 28th in his first Cup Series start at IMS in 1999. Like this weekend, Blaney was aboard a Bill Davis Racing-owned machine.
· Blaney at Indianapolis…Blaney has made nine Cup Series starts on the 2.5-mile oval during his career. He posted his highest career finish last year – a ninth-place effort. Blaney has scored two top-15 finishes at the famed Indianapolis track in his Cup Series career.
· BDR at IMS…Competitors driving Bill Davis Racing-owned cars have been racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway since 1994 and have made 21 starts. BDR drivers have scored three top-10 finishes at the track.
· Bring Your Sharpie…Look for Blaney to stop by the Caterpillar/Toyota Racing merchandise hauler to sign autographs this weekend. Please check with the trailer for exact times.
· Getting Down and Dirty…Blaney is scheduled to compete in a UMP Modified at I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Mo., Wednesday evening before heading to Indianapolis. Blaney will take part in the sixth annual Night of NASCAR Stars at the 1/3-mile high banked dirt track co-owned by Kenny Schrader.
· All in the Family…Blaney’s 14-year-old son, Ryan, made his stock car racing debut last weekend at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, N.C. Blaney ran as high as third before mechanical issues sidelined him late in the 200-lap Pro All Star Series race.
· Allstate 400 Broadcast Schedule…Qualifying for the event is scheduled to start at 10:10 a.m. ET Saturday, July 26. The 160-lap event is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET Sunday, July 27, and will broadcast LIVE on ESPN (TV), IMS (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio.

Blaney’s Thoughts on the Allstate 400…“The weekend off was great, but we’re glad to be getting back to the racetrack. All the guys had a chance to take some time off and recharge their batteries, so to speak, but I think everyone on this Bill Davis Racing team is ready to get back at it. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a special place – anyone who has ever been involved or been a fan of racing will tell you that. It seems like, even though it pays the same amount of points as any other race on the schedule, I think everyone works really hard to try to have a really good run there. It’s still a big event for NASCAR and a good run at Indy means a lot.”
