WIX Filters Lap Leader News and Notes: Pepsi 500

- Kyle Busch led 97 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the 2007 Pepsi 500 at Auto Club (Fontana, Calif.) Speedway. He leads the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship standings by 212 points over second-place Carl Edwards.
- DID YOU KNOW? The average finish of the driver leading the most laps in the Pepsi 500 (four races) is 2.0. In four August races at Auto Club Speedway, the driver leading the most laps has won the race twice and finished THIRD or better in every race.
- DID YOU KNOW? Kyle Busch has led the most laps in two of the four August races at Auto Club Speedway, more than any other driver.
- Kyle Busch leads Jimmie Johnson by four races (9-5) in overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings.
- Kyle Busch became the first Raybestos® Rookie to win at Auto Club Speedway when he captured the 2005 Pepsi 500. Busch scored his first Sprint Cup victory by .554 seconds over Greg Biffle and is the only Raybestos® Rookie to win in 16 Sprint Cup Series races at the 2.0-mile speedway.
- Jimmie Johnson was the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race in the 2008 Auto Club 500 at Auto Club Speedway (race No. 2), leading 74 laps.
- The record for most leaders in a race at Auto Club Speedway is 30 (three times), most recently in the 2007 Pepsi 500.
- The record for most lead changes in a race at Auto Club Speedway is 30 (twice), most recently in the 2007 Pepsi 500.
