Dodge To Award A Major Prize Each Lap During Final 60 Laps At Talladega
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Sept. 19, 2008) – To commemorate NASCAR’s 60th anniversary, Dodge has added a unique dimension to the AMP Energy 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on October 5. Fans can now register for the ‘Dodge 60 To Go’ program which will award one prize per lap during the final 60 laps of the 188-lap race at the 2.66-mile superspeedway.
Dodge has partnered with Best Buy, Sprint, Kodak, Wrigley’s, Craftsman, SIRIUS, Sunoco, EA Sports and the Richard Petty Driving Experience to create a bounty of quality gifts that includes nine Dodge Charger two-year lease vehicles and a NASCAR 60th edition Dodge Challenger R/T to the grand prize winner. The Dodge Challenger R/T is valued at approximately $30,000.
“Dodge is thrilled to partner with these great companies and add additional excitement to the event,” said Mike Accavitti, Director – Dodge Brand and SRT Marketing, Chrysler LLC. “Talladega has a history of producing great competition on the race track. This program will make the last 60 laps even more exciting for the fans. The prize list is truly a treasure chest. I encourage fans to go on-line and take a look at the breakdown of prizes that will be awarded during the final 60 laps at Talladega.”
Registration is underway at www.NASCAR.com/Dodge60togo and will continue until October 1. After registering, fans are encouraged to forward information about the opportunity to a friend. Fans can see a complete list of prizes at the NASCAR.com site.
After registration, fans will have the opportunity to return to the site during the race and follow the distribution of prizes. The list of winners will grow from one to 60 during the final 60 laps and posted via a mock leader board on the site.
Dodge is the official car of Talladega Superspeedway.
