WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE AMP ENERGY 500 NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES RACE AT TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2009.

· Kevin Harvick led three times for 28 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in today’s AMP Energy 500. Harvick claimed the honor for the first time this season.

· Harvick posted a 21^st-place finish in the race after he was involved in an accident on lap 185 of the 191-lap race.

· Harvick has now led 23 times in 35 restrictor plate starts for 194 total laps.

· Tony Stewart leads Kyle Busch by one race (7-6) in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings entering the November 1 AMP Energy 500 at Talladega (Ala) Superspeedway.

· GIL MARTIN, CREW CHIEF, No. 29 SHELL/PENNZOIL CHEVROLET: YOU HAD A GOOD CAR TODAY AND LED A LOT OF LAPS. “We had a really good Shell/Pennzoil Chevrolet today. It was excellent. It was able to lead laps and it was strong. We kind of got shuffled out right there at the end but we were making our way back up. We had gone to the bottom and it looked like a line was going to start forming behind us and we were going to get back up there and then all of a sudden Ryan Newman dropped out of the air and lands on us. I don’t know what you can do about that. It’s kind of how our season has gone. Once again we had a fast race car and that’s what counts. One of these days this bad luck will go away. I appreciate everything WIX does for us. The filtration systems that we have, whether through the engine or the driver, it all works go od. Thanks for the money and we’ll go on to next week.”
