NEW AND NOTES FROM THE WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER PROGRAM – NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES
· Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch are tied for the lead (7-7) in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings entering the November 15 Checker O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix (Avondale, Ariz.) International Raceway.
· DID YOU KNOW? The driver leading the most laps has won 14 of 26 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Phoenix including the last THREE CONSECUTIVE.
· The driver leading the most laps has no worse than sixth in the 13 most recent fall races at Phoenix.
· Only four times in 21 previous fall races has the driver leading the most laps finished outside the top-10.
· FIVE drivers in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup have led the most laps in 26 previous NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Phoenix: Jimmie Johnson (2008 spring, 2008 fall), Greg Biffle (2005 spring, 2005 fall, 2006 spring), Kurt Busch (2002 fall, 2003 fall, 2005 spring), Tony Stewart (1999 fall and 2007 spring), Mark Martin (1993 fall and 2009 spring).
