Evernham Motorsports Hosts Sixth Annual Fan Appreciation Day
Thursday May 10, 2007
STATESVILLE, N.C. (May 9, 2007) - Evernham Motorsports will be holding their sixth annual Fan Appreciation Day on Friday, May 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their headquarters in Statesville, N.C. The event is held to thank fans for their continuous support of the organization and will feature all Evernham Motorsports drivers.
Fans will be treated to a full day of activities at the sprawling facility in Statesville, N.C. Fans have the opportunity to participate in driver autograph sessions, live pit stop demonstrations, show car viewings, a silent auction and partner displays. Fans will even be able to see what goes on inside the shop at special garage observation areas. In addition, fans can visit the Evernham Motorsports museum to see the team's memorabilia. The Evernham Motorsports gift shop will be open throughout the day for fans who want to take a piece of the excitement home with them.
"Fan Appreciation Day is always an exciting time at Evernham Motorsports," said Team Owner and CEO, Ray Evernham. "It means a lot to me, the drivers and our entire staff to meet and interact with the fans that support us tirelessly throughout these long race seasons. This is our chance to welcome them to our facility and show how much we appreciate them."
The most popular event of the day — the autograph sessions — will begin at 9 a.m. with Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler and Boris Said. Ray Evernham and Scott Riggs follow in the next autograph session at 11 a.m.
There will be one autograph line for each personality and 400 wristbands will be given for each line. Wristband pick up will begin at 7:30 a.m. on the morning of the event until supplies last. Fans should look for signs designating wristband pick up locations upon arrival at the Evernham Motorsports facility.
The silent auction will feature several items including race memorabilia. Funds from the auction will be distributed to Racing for a Reason, a foundation established by Ray Evernham that supports The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in addition to many other charitable organizations and efforts.
All Evernham Motorsports drivers will be in attendance at Fan Appreciation Day, including ARCA competitor Erin Crocker. Fans will also have the opportunity to win unique experiences and other prizes.
